Culture
Culture is critical to the success of any organization, and at Drayer Physical Therapy Institute™ it is our single biggest priority. Culture can be defined as belief and behavior, a way of doing things. We take pride in holding ourselves accountable to a belief system that is centered on God, family and work. We want our behavior to demonstrate an unselfish commitment to our patients needs first, followed by our employees needs and subsequently any other people that we deal with on an ongoing basis.
Our culture can be divided into three distinct silos of core values:
- Core Value #1: Always choose to do the right thing. Do not let situations change your convictions.
- Core Value #2: Answer the call to stewardship and servantship. Make a difference in the lives of those around you.
- Core Value #3: Embrace being a part of something of intrinsic value.
"In the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you have had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: know that your short time here on this earth has been well spent; and that it mattered." - Jim Collins in his book "Good to Great"
Our culture is ultimately defined and manifested on a daily basis by our employees, the people who are the heart and soul of our organization. We believe in hiring people on the basis of self selection, communicating what is expected from them and allowing them to determine whether they want to be a part of our organization. We believe in transparent leadership, making sure our actions reflect our intentions. We also understand the inherent value of the choices we make to do the small things, the extra things that others are not willing to do because of our commitment to patient care, which is an absolute.
At DPTI™ we understand the value of culture and the role that it plays in our success. It will be the focus of our selection process and the moral fiber that will bind us as a team.
