International Service Opportunities

Drayer Physical Therapy Institute is blessed to be able to provide employees with international medical mission opportunities. Participation in medical missions allows senior management and employees to demonstrate stewardship, which we feel is one of our core values and responsibilities.

We have partnered with the Community Coalition for Haiti in northern Virginia to help serve the Haitian people in the mountain region of Pignon. Members of the senior management team have traveled to the Hopital Bienfaisance de Pignon with a medical team to provide much needed healthcare to people in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

Our organization has made a commitment to help fund the construction of a school in Bouqueronne, Haiti, allowing clinics, individual employees and patients the opportunity to sponsor children in that community. The sponsorship provides an education, a uniform and a meal a day. Our employees have been able to fund a well for the people in Bouqueronne, providing them with fresh drinking water for the first time in their lives.

DPTI has also partnered with Arcadia University to provide international service opportunities in several third world countries. Employees have traveled to Guatemala with Hearts in Motion to work in a hospital providing care to the local community. The relationship with Arcadia has also created opportunities in Jamaica, Morocco and Honduras. Our therapists have the option to do one week mission trips to those countries to provide care and to function as clinical instructors for Arcadia students.

DPTI is blessed to be able to partner with such fine organizations and institutions to allow our employees the opportunity to serve internationally. We recognize that traveling abroad is not an option for all employees; however, there are many options, including sponsorship, that allow people to get involved and support a meaningful cause.
